Huqo Commerce: build and manage your online store
Create a branded storefront and manage products, variants, stock, orders, customers and offers from the optional Commerce add-on inside Suite.

Understand the Commerce add-on
Commerce is optional. It costs an extra A$20 per month. A new A$15 monthly Suite plan plus Commerce totals A$35 per month across two subscriptions, including applicable GST. Annual and existing Suite plans retain their agreed separate billing amount and period. An active Suite plan and Commerce access are required to run the store. Reading this guide or opening the add-on information page does not purchase it.
Open Commerce from Suite, then use Overview, Orders, Products, Collections, Inventory, Customers, Discounts and Store settings. This store manager is separate from buying products in Huqo's own store. Your customers shop at your branded storefront. Payment processing fees are separate from the monthly add-on price.
Create a draft and complete the setup checklist
Choose a store name and storefront address, then select Create my store. The address uses Huqo's hosted shops path. Keep the address short and recognisable: it cannot change after the first order. A new store starts as a draft, with no sample sales or public products added automatically.
- Add your business contact details in Store settings.
- Create at least one active product with a valid price.
- Configure payment and delivery or pickup.
- Add shipping, returns, privacy and purchase policies that describe your business.
- Use Preview store to review the experience, then select Publish store once the checklist is complete.
Build a clear product catalogue
In Products, choose Add product. Enter a useful title, description, address and images. Use Draft while preparing a product, Active when it is ready to sell, or Archived to remove it from the current catalogue while keeping historical order information.
Variants describe purchasable choices such as Size and Colour. Give each combination its own selling price, optional compare-at price, SKU and available stock. A compare-at price must be at least the selling price. Cost, barcode and shipping weight sit with the variant details; cost helps your own records and is not shown as a customer price. Save product when finished.
Use the catalogue search, status and collection filters together to narrow the list. Choose 25, 50 or 100 products per page and clear the applied filters to return to the full catalogue. When you enter a variant cost, the editor shows its product margin before delivery, payment fees and other business costs; this is not net profit.
- Use different option combinations and SKUs for different variants.
- Add a product to one or more collections from its editor.
- Duplicating a product creates a draft with cleared SKUs and zero available stock. Review it before activating.
Update selected products together
Select products using the checkboxes in the Products list, or select the current page. The bulk toolbar applies only to the products you have explicitly selected on that page. Selection clears when you change pages, search, filters or sections.
Choose Active, Draft or Archived and review the selected count before confirming. Archiving hides products from the live catalogue while keeping their records. Activation requires valid purchasable variants. If any selected product changed in another tab or during an order, the whole batch is stopped so you can refresh and review it.
Keep stock accurate
Track available stock controls whether a variant can sell beyond its available quantity. Inventory lists each variant with its options, SKU and stock status. The low-stock view highlights tracked variants with five or fewer available units, including sold-out choices, so a better-stocked option does not hide one that needs attention.
Checkout reserves tracked stock while payment is pending. Eligible cancellation or expiry releases that reservation once. A new order can therefore change stock while a product editor is open. If saving reports that the product changed, preserve your intended edits, refresh the product and review the latest stock before trying again. Do not overwrite the newer quantity from an old tab.
Unpaid manual orders have a 72-hour payment window. Opening the order list, store overview or private receipt refreshes expired reservations and returns their tracked stock once. An expired order cannot later be marked paid; contact the customer and create a new purchase if needed.
Adjust stock and review its manual history
Open the stock action for a variant in Inventory. Choose Add stock, Remove stock or Set stock, enter the quantity and give a short reason. Review the current and resulting available stock before saving. Stock tracking must be enabled for the variant.
The recent history records adjustments made with this tool, including the operator, reason and quantity before and after. It is not a complete inventory ledger: sales, checkout reservations and direct edits in the full product editor are not listed here.
A save uses the latest product revision and a stable adjustment reference. Repeating the same request after a lost response does not apply the quantity twice. If the product changed, use Reload latest and review your adjustment against the current quantity before starting another save.
Make the storefront your own
Create Collections to group related products, then assign products from their editors. Store settings provides three appearance presets: Atelier for a warm presentation, Studio for a clear contemporary look and Bold for a stronger visual direction. Adjust colours, choose the available font style, and add your logo, hero image, announcement and introductory wording.
Upload PNG, JPEG or WebP images. Commerce decodes and prepares them for display, removing original image metadata and preserving transparent artwork where supported. Check both phone and desktop previews, especially long product names, image crops and variant choices. The hosted storefront currently does not provide custom domains, point of sale or automatic carrier label purchasing.
On a product page, customers can browse the image gallery with previous and next controls or keyboard arrows, then enlarge a photo for a closer look. Bag quantities have direct controls and a removal can be undone. The checkout waits for a current price and availability check before continuing, and points out fields that need attention.
Quick view opens a product drawer from the catalogue, with images, available variant choices, quantity and a full-product link. Customers can add a valid choice without losing their place in the collection. Store previews keep purchase buttons disabled. Closing the drawer returns focus to the product card.
Configure delivery, pickup and payment
Delivery rates support Australia and New Zealand. Add a rate name, countries and price, with an optional minimum spend or free-delivery threshold. Multiple rates can cover the same country, such as standard and express. Local pickup needs clear collection instructions. Prices and checkout totals are in Australian dollars.
Bank transfer requires payment instructions. Pay on pickup is available only for pickup orders. Both create an awaiting-payment order rather than claiming money has arrived. Card payments use the merchant's connected Stripe account after its setup and payment capability checks are complete. Your business completes Stripe onboarding; Huqo does not ask shoppers to enter card details into a merchant notes field.
If your business is GST registered, the GST setting records the included tax component in the order total. Review your settings and policies before publishing. Card checkout requires a total of at least A$0.50; select another available method for smaller totals.
Move an order from payment to fulfilment
Recording a received manual payment and marking an order fulfilled send the corresponding updates to the customer and configured merchant notification address. Repeating an already-completed action does not resend the update. Check the activity if a notification fails: a delivery problem does not erase the saved order. Customer receipt links are private bearer links, so share each one only with the intended customer.
Cancellation and refund recording are different actions. Pending manual cancellations restore eligible reserved stock. Record a manual refund only after completing it outside Huqo. Online checkout and refunds must follow the payment provider's confirmed state; a local status button does not move money.
Filter by payment or fulfilment status, including refunded and cancelled orders. Search for an order number, name or email. The result range and page-size control help you review longer lists without losing your place.
- Open Orders and select an order to review its saved items, delivery details, totals and activity.
- For a manual payment, select Mark as paid only after confirming that payment was actually received. Online payments are confirmed by the payment provider.
- Fulfil a paid order when it is ready. Add a tracking number and a secure tracking link when applicable.
- Use private notes to keep internal details with the order. They are not part of the public receipt.
Run offers and exchange catalogue data
Discounts supports percentage, fixed-value and free-shipping codes. Set a minimum subtotal, optional usage limit and start or end dates, then activate the code. Checkout validates the current offer and stock again. Pending orders can hold a discount use until an eligible cancellation or expiry releases it.
Import CSV creates new products rather than overwriting existing ones. Download the example format, use UTF-8 text and enter AUD prices with up to two decimal places. Review validation errors before retrying; an invalid import does not partly add its rows. Spreadsheet formulas are rejected. Export CSV is available for products, orders and customers. Product exports use a row per variant and are not a complete, directly reimportable storefront backup.
Use customer records and honest reporting
Customers brings order contacts together with your private notes and tags. An order does not automatically subscribe a person to marketing. Use appropriate permission before adding customers to campaigns elsewhere.
Overview reports recorded paid revenue, paid orders, open orders, products, customers and low stock. Revenue excludes orders recorded as refunded or cancelled. These figures describe the store's saved order states; they are not a bank balance, provider payout reconciliation or a complete accounting system. Review the order activity and payment provider when investigating a mismatch.
Know the limits and recover safely
Each store supports up to 1,000 products, 100 variants per product, 100 collections and 100 discount codes. Store images have a separate 500 MB allowance. Source uploads must be within 5 MB and 16 megapixels; prepared images are resized to a maximum dimension of 2,400 pixels. Delivery settings support up to 12 rates.
If publishing is blocked, review the setup checklist. If an item or total changes during checkout, review the updated bag rather than repeatedly submitting the old amount. If saving fails, keep the editor open and use the error details before refreshing. Export important business records regularly and before paid access ends. Manage the Commerce subscription from its plan page; cancelling Commerce does not cancel the base Suite plan.
Review spelling, grammar and tone
Use Writing tools for on-demand spelling, grammar, clarity and tone suggestions. Review the named source and displayed AI token cost before checking. Suggestions only change your writing when you apply them. The Writing assistant guide explains supported fields, language choices, privacy and undo.
