Huqo Drive

Find, organise, preview and protect your Suite documents and uploaded files from one workspace.

Understand your workspace

Drive is the filing space for your editable Suite documents and uploaded files. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Tasks and PDF projects appear alongside uploaded PDFs, images, text and supported Office documents. Studio has its own creative-project workflow; open Studio from the Apps chooser for its designs and media.

Open Drive when you want the complete file list. The Suite home screen shows recent work, while Drive provides the broader organisation tools. Select a document name to open its app. From the workspace, editor apps open in their own browser tab so your file list remains easy to return to.

  1. Open Drive from Suite or the Apps chooser.
  2. Use New to create a document or a named folder, or choose Upload files.
  3. Select the file name to open it, or its details button for file actions.
  4. Add important work to Starred and group related files in folders.
  5. Use search, file-type filters and sorting to find it again.

Upload files and understand imports

Choose Upload files or drop supported files into the Drive file area. Uploads go into the current folder. You can choose up to 20 files at a time, with a 20 MB limit for each file. The batch is checked before uploading begins; if an upload later fails, the progress message explains which files are already available.

Supported upload extensions are PDF, TXT, CSV, PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, DOCX, XLSX and PPTX. An uploaded Office file remains an original file in Drive. To convert supported content into an editable document, open the corresponding app and use its import tools. Uploading and importing serve different purposes.

Import Huqo backup is separate from Upload files. It accepts a valid Suite document backup below 5 MB, creates a new document and preserves the document's editable structure. Imported Forms backups start unpublished, so you can review them before making them public.

Search and change the file view

Search works with your file names. Use All types, Suite documents, Uploaded files, Images or PDF documents to narrow the list further. Files can be sorted by Last modified, Name A-Z or File type, and displayed as a list or grid.

A file-type filter may still show folders so that you can navigate into them. The visible count reflects the items currently displayed. Select all visible files selects the displayed set, so review the count before applying a bulk action.

Use Refresh files to request the latest list after a change in another tab. If no matching files appear, clear search and filters and check Starred, Trash or the current folder. A missing search result does not mean that the file has been deleted.

Keep files organised

Create a folder with a meaningful name before adding documents to it. Use file selection and Move to folder to group existing work. Breadcrumbs show the current folder path and let you return to Drive or a parent folder without retracing every step.

Open file details to rename, add or remove a star, download, export a backup, share or move an item to Trash. A star is a shortcut to important work; it does not create another copy. Duplicate an editable Suite document when you want to reuse its structure independently. For an uploaded file, download it and upload the copy if you need a separate item.

Folders cannot be placed inside themselves or a descendant. Move or trash the contents of a folder before moving the folder itself to Trash. These checks prevent broken folder structures and make recovery more predictable.

Preview and download

File details provides a preview appropriate to the file type. PDFs, common images and supported text can be previewed in the browser. Some Office documents and other formats need to be downloaded and opened in the relevant app instead. A preview is a convenient inspection, not a promise that every original layout can be rendered.

Download file retrieves an uploaded original. Export backup downloads an editable Suite document as a .huqo.json backup. App-specific exports, such as a spreadsheet's Excel export or a presentation's PowerPoint export, are available inside the corresponding app.

For a document somebody shared with you, download availability is controlled by its owner. The file menu will not override that decision. Preview content can still be captured by a viewer, so download restrictions should not be treated as copy protection.

Save and recover an earlier version

Editable documents save while you work. The header distinguishes unsaved changes, saving, saved and failed-save states. Keep the tab open if saving fails, export your work when possible and use the retry action once your connection or session is ready.

Version history is available for your own editable documents. Open it from the file controls, inspect the recorded versions and restore the one you need. Suite keeps up to 20 earlier stored versions as content or names change; it does not retain an unlimited permanent revision archive.

A restore replaces the current name and editable content with the chosen version. Export a backup first if you want to retain the current draft as a separate reference. When another tab changes a document, Suite stops an older revision from silently overwriting the newer one.

Trash and permanent deletion

Move to Trash removes an item from normal work without immediately deleting it. Open Trash, select the item and choose Restore to bring it back. You can also open a trashed item's details to see recovery actions.

Delete permanently is available only after an item is in Trash and requires confirmation. It removes the stored file and associated records, so export anything you still need first. A folder must be empty before it can be permanently deleted. An uploaded PDF referenced by a PDF project cannot be purged until that reference is removed or the project is permanently deleted.

Items in Trash still use storage until permanently removed. Moving a file or one of its parent folders to Trash also makes its shared access unavailable. Restoring work should be followed by a review of any sharing that should remain active.

Storage and troubleshooting

The Suite workspace has a 200 MB allowance for its files, previous versions, form responses and signing records, and supports up to 1,000 file and folder records. Check the storage indicator and keep independent exports of important work. These limits are different from an individual upload's 20 MB maximum.

If storage is full, review large uploads and files in Trash before permanently deleting anything. Form responses and previous versions also count, so the file-list size alone may not explain the whole total. Storage can temporarily be unavailable if the service cannot safely accept another write.

If you are signed out or see a save conflict, protect the open draft first. Export it where possible, sign in again or reopen the latest document, then continue. Huqo backup files restore editable documents; they do not restore a cancelled signing request, an account session or permissions that have expired.
