Suite GUIDE

Getting started with Huqo Suite

Find the right app, create your first file and understand how the Suite workspace connects your everyday work.

On this page

Use your existing Huqo account

Huqo Suite uses your Huqo account. Sign in, open the Suite plan page from your dashboard, and choose Open Huqo Suite when access is active. If you are new to Huqo, create an account first. You do not need a separate username for each app.

Suite is an optional subscription with new plans at A$15 per month or A$180 per year, including applicable GST. Existing subscriptions retain their agreed price, including legacy A$10 monthly plans. It is separate from Huqo Reviews, website plans and other services. Existing Studio subscriptions include Suite access without a second subscription. Reading the wiki or opening the public Suite information page does not purchase a plan. Billing starts only when you complete checkout.

The plan has no setup fee or minimum term and renews for the selected monthly or annual period until cancelled. Manage plan opens the account area for renewal, payment details and invoices. Review the amount and terms at checkout before paying.

Make the workspace your starting point

Workspace is the overview of your apps and recent work. Choose an app card to start a specific task, or open a recent file to continue. Recent work is a short list, not your complete library. Drive holds the broader workspace file list, with search, folders and filters.

The sidebar groups your apps and file views. Workspace returns to the overview, Shared with me shows work another owner has granted you access to, Starred brings useful files together and Trash holds workspace items you have removed. Manage plan and Back to dashboard take you to account and other Huqo services.

On a phone, use the navigation button to open the side menu. Close the menu or choose a destination to return to your work. The menu can scroll independently, keeping the app itself from becoming a long stack of navigation links.

Choose the app that fits the job

Start with the outcome you need. Apps have different editing models, so choosing the right one makes the rest simpler.

  • Studio: graphics, photos and video, with a freeform design canvas and creative templates.
  • Docs: proposals, letters, reports and other written documents.
  • Sheets: budgets, lists, calculations and structured figures.
  • Slides: coordinated presentations built from editable slide layouts.
  • Forms: questions you can preview, publish and use to collect responses.
  • Tasks: project planning with task details, board, list and calendar views.
  • PDF: read, organise, annotate and export PDF documents.
  • Sign: prepare PDF signing requests, add recipients and fields, and follow their activity.
  • Drive: organise Suite files and uploads, preview work and manage access.

Create a file and keep apps side by side

Use Create new in the workspace to choose a document type, create a design or video, add a folder or upload files. An app's home also lists its own work. Opening the app and creating a new file are separate actions, so an app card does not automatically fill your library with blank files.

Editors open in their own browser tabs. This lets you keep the workspace open while comparing a document, spreadsheet or presentation. Inside an editor, use Apps to reach another Suite app. Use the app name to return to that app's files. On narrow screens, less common actions sit under the More menu.

Keep just one editing tab for the same file when possible. Different files can be open side by side, but editing the same saved file in several tabs can produce a version conflict.

  1. Choose Create new and the file type you need.
  2. Give the file a descriptive name in the header.
  3. Start with a blank file or browse that app's templates.
  4. Replace all sample content and check the result.
  5. Wait for the saved status before leaving, then organise or star the file in Drive.

Save first, then share or export

Suite documents save as you edit. Watch the status beside the file name: Unsaved changes and Saving mean you should keep the tab open; Saved to your Huqo account confirms the online copy was stored. Sign has its own Save draft workflow. Studio also has creative project saving and export controls.

An export is a downloadable copy for another purpose, such as a PDF, Word document, Excel workbook, PowerPoint presentation or editable backup. Exporting and online saving are different actions. For important work, keep an independent backup as well as the account copy.

Sharing also has several meanings. Drive can grant member access or create a private link. Publishing a form makes its respondent page available at its address. Sending a signing request invites the listed recipients. Review the relevant controls before using an external-facing action.

Get comfortable and find help

Start with one small project: write a one-page letter, make a budget or create a short presentation. Use the app guide for its exact tools and export choices rather than trying every menu at once. Templates are editable examples, so review names, figures and sample wording before sending them out.

Help & shortcuts provides a quick orientation, and Suite help wiki opens the full guides. Use Contact support or Support in your Huqo dashboard for an account issue or a problem you cannot resolve. Include the app name, the action you attempted and the visible error text, while keeping passwords and private document contents out of the message.

Review spelling, grammar and tone

Use Writing tools for on-demand spelling, grammar, clarity and tone suggestions. Review the named source and displayed AI token cost before checking. Suggestions only change your writing when you apply them. The Writing assistant guide explains supported fields, language choices, privacy and undo.
