Studio AI: writing, designs and prepaid tokens
Generate copy, editable design pages, colour directions and available images with a fixed cost, then review every change before applying it.

What you need and where to start
Studio AI is an optional set of tools inside the graphic design editor. Open Studio from Huqo Suite, then create or reopen a design. Choose AI directly below Layers in the left menu, then Create with AI. The same menu contains Ask Huqo and Community library. The command palette also includes Create with Studio AI.
Customer accounts need active Huqo Suite access and enough prepaid Huqo AI tokens for the chosen request. New Suite plans cost A$15 per month or A$180 per year including applicable GST; existing subscriptions retain their agreed price. Token purchases are separate one-off payments, and buying tokens does not activate Suite. Your Huqo account keeps one AI token balance.
AI tools can be temporarily unavailable when a connection, safety check or service limit prevents a request. The panel shows which tools are available. Image generation is offered only when its connection is enabled; a disabled image tool cannot charge your tokens.
Buy a pack once and control your spending
Choose Add tokens in the AI panel to open Huqo AI in your main dashboard. It opens separately so your design stays open. Select a pack, review the one-off amount and terms, then complete secure checkout. A completed token purchase updates the account balance; return to Studio and refresh the balance if needed.
Huqo AI tokens are prepaid usage credits for Huqo tools. They are not the input or output token counts measured by OpenAI. They do not expire and do not automatically top up. They are separate from the recurring Suite subscription.
- 1,000 Huqo AI tokens: A$5, including applicable GST.
- 2,500 Huqo AI tokens: A$10, including applicable GST.
- 6,000 Huqo AI tokens: A$20, including applicable GST.
Know the fixed cost before Generate
The cost shown beside Generate applies to one request, rather than each word or canvas object. Your balance must cover that cost. A completed result uses the stated tokens even if you later decide not to apply it or want a different result. A new generation is a new paid request.
Reviewing, copying or applying an existing result does not use more tokens. Reopening a completed request from Recent AI results also does not generate it again. For example, 1,000 tokens can cover 200 writing or palette requests, or 50 editable design requests, if used entirely for that tool.
- Write, rewrite, shorten, adjust tone or translate text: 5 tokens per request.
- Generate a five-colour palette: 5 tokens per request.
- Generate an editable design page: 20 tokens per request.
- Generate one image when available: 150 tokens per request.
Shared visuals and the community library
Visual-sharing terms version 2026-10-30 applies to new image and editable-design generations. The consent box starts unchecked. Confirm it only when your brief and intended generated visual are suitable for reuse by other members. The checkbox is separate from buying tokens and does not grant ownership of your private projects to Huqo.
Successful visuals enter a private submission database. Content checks and administrator review come before publication, so a newly generated image or layout will not immediately appear to other members. Rejected, pending and withdrawn submissions are not listed in the member library. Writing results and colour palettes are not included.
To use an approved asset, open Studio AI and choose Community, or use the community entry from Elements. Search by topic and switch between images and editable designs. Select an asset, inspect its preview and choose Add. Images are inserted into the current page; a design is added as a separate page. Existing pages stay in place and normal Undo is available. This reuse does not generate a new AI request or spend AI tokens.
Shared assets may be used in personal and commercial Studio designs under the visual-sharing terms. They are not exclusive. Do not use an asset to impersonate someone, infringe rights or claim a real endorsement. For a safety, privacy or rights concern, contact Support with the asset reference. Removal stops future library access but cannot recall copies already lawfully exported.
Content suitable for general audiences
Studio AI blocks adult sexual content, pornography, nudity, sexualised minors, graphic injury or gore, extreme violence, hateful or extremist promotion and content encouraging self-harm, illegal drug abuse or violent wrongdoing. Do not attempt to bypass the filters.
Prompts and results are checked before a result can be delivered or submitted to the library. If a check is unavailable or the request is blocked, the generation cannot complete and reserved tokens are returned. Refine a safe brief rather than repeatedly retrying a prohibited request.
Library publication also requires administrator review. Use the normal support route to report a result or shared asset that should not be available.
Write new copy or improve selected text
Replacing text requires a single eligible text selection. It preserves the existing text element rather than replacing the entire page. If you change the page or selection while the request is running, Studio asks you to review the target again before applying.
- Choose Write, then describe the audience, purpose, tone and length you want. A brief such as "Write three friendly headlines for a Sydney bakery opening this Saturday" gives more direction than "make it better".
- For existing wording, select one text element and use Polish selected text, Shorten or Translate. Enable use of the selected text for context when prompted. For another language or tone, describe it in the brief.
- Choose whether the result should be added as new text or replace the selected text after review. Confirm the displayed cost, then select Generate.
- Read the complete response. Check names, dates, prices, spelling, claims and meaning. Copy it for another purpose or choose the displayed apply action to update your design.
- Adjust the font, spacing and placement as needed. Undo reverses the applied canvas change.
Create a new editable design page
AI designs use editable text and basic shapes, with up to 20 objects. They are a starting layout you can refine in Studio. Generated images are separate raster artwork; their pixels do not become editable text or layers. A design request does not automatically add photographs, build a website or change your video timeline.
The usual 30-page design limit still applies. If you reach that limit, organise your pages or create another project before applying a new AI page.
- Choose Design. Describe the format, audience, message, desired style and key colours. The current artboard dimensions guide the generated layout.
- Read the visual-sharing notice and agree to the displayed terms before generating. The new layout will enter the library submission database for review and possible use by other Studio members. Existing page text is excluded; write a generic brief without private or client information.
- Review the 20-token cost, select Generate and inspect the preview. Read the text as well as judging the layout.
- Choose Add as a new page when you want to use it. Your existing page stays in the document. Rename the new page, edit its elements and save the project.
Explore a colour direction
Choose Colours and describe the mood, audience and brand direction. Review the five suggested colours and the fixed 5-token cost before generating another option. Apply colours to this page uses the reviewed palette on the current design page; it does not recolour photographs or change every page in the document.
Check text contrast and legibility, especially for small text and buttons. You can still change individual object colours after applying a palette. Undo restores the previous page colours.
Generate an image when the tool is available
Choose Image only when the panel shows it is available. Describe the scene, composition, lighting and style, then review the 150-token cost before generating. The result is a square 1,024-pixel image. Review it before inserting it into your current design, and resize or crop it with the normal photo tools.
Generated image preview and download links are private to your account and last seven days. Apply embeds the image in the editable design. Save the design to keep that embedded copy after the temporary link expires, or download the image while the link is available. Applying an image does not itself confirm that your project has been saved.
Generated artwork can contain visual errors. Check text inside images, faces, hands, products, logos and any suggestion of a real endorsement before publishing. The generator does not guarantee an exact brand mark or a particular result.
Before generating, agree to the visual-sharing terms. A safe successful image also becomes a private library submission for administrator review. If approved, its separate library copy can be reused by other Studio members after your seven-day personal preview link expires. Your existing uploads and the rest of your project remain private.
Choose what context to share
Your brief and artboard dimensions are sent for the requested generation. Image and editable-design requests exclude the text from your existing page because their results are submitted to the community library. Writing and colour tools offer optional current-page text context, off by default. They do not send every project, other pages, the full canvas file or account records.
The context controls mask recognised email addresses, phone numbers and secret-like strings. This reduces accidental disclosure but cannot recognise every private detail. Review your brief and design wording yourself. Leave the option off and use a generic brief when the task does not need private information.
Do not enter passwords, payment-card details, confidential customer records or information you do not have permission to share. OpenAI processes the brief and selected context to generate the result. Huqo’s privacy policy explains AI processing and retained request, result and usage records.
Keep control of changes to the canvas
Generate creates a result to review. It does not immediately change the canvas. The apply button names its action, such as Add as a new page, Replace selected text, Apply colours to this page or Add image to this page. Applying is separate from generation and does not cost additional tokens.
If you move to a different page, open another project or alter the original text before applying, Studio can stop the old result from being placed on the wrong target. Use current page or Use current selection retargets the result only when you choose it. Review the destination again, then apply. No new generation is needed just to retarget.
Use Undo after applying if you want to reverse the canvas change. Undo does not refund a completed generation or add tokens back; it changes your artwork. Keep watching the normal save status and save an editable backup for important work.
Recover a request after an interruption
A slow connection or closed panel does not prove that a submitted generation failed. Tokens may be reserved while the server is still processing it. Use Check request to check the original request before starting another generation. Do not keep pressing Generate to find out whether it finished.
Recent AI results lists recent requests for your account. Reopen a completed request to review or apply its existing result without paying for the same generation again. The list shows returned tokens when a request was not completed. An expired image link cannot restore the temporary image file, so save or download image results promptly.
Failed requests return their reserved tokens. A completed request uses the displayed cost. If the status is still uncertain, keep the request reference and contact Huqo Support; do not assume a refund merely because the browser disconnected. Your Huqo AI dashboard shows purchases, reservations and returned tokens.
Get a better result and know the limits
- Use one clear objective per brief. Include the audience, purpose, tone, format and the details that must stay accurate.
- Avoid vague requests that require the tool to invent prices, promises or business facts. Supply those facts yourself.
- Compare a result with the brief before applying. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to other material.
- You remain responsible for permission to use supplied content and for checking rights, factual claims and suitability before publication.
- Studio AI has request and availability limits. A busy or temporarily disabled tool is not an invitation to repeat requests rapidly.
Separate creative AI from support chat
The Huqo Assistant answers questions about Huqo and helps you find relevant controls or help pages. In the Suite workspace, choose AI assistant in the menu. In an app, open More and choose Ask Huqo AI. In Studio, choose AI below Layers, then Ask Huqo. It has its own message allowance and does not spend your paid Studio AI tokens for ordinary support answers.
When available inside Studio, the assistant can offer Create with Studio AI. Choosing it opens the AI panel with a suggested brief. You still review the cost and select Generate, then review and apply the result yourself. The assistant cannot use free support messages to bypass paid creative generation.
Review spelling, grammar and tone
Use Writing tools for on-demand spelling, grammar, clarity and tone suggestions. Review the named source and displayed AI token cost before checking. Suggestions only change your writing when you apply them. The Writing assistant guide explains supported fields, language choices, privacy and undo.
